Garipald

Toscana Rosso I.G.T.
1084 La Cuvée

Description

This wine takes its name from the Lombard Prince of the very noble lineage of Gauso, who founded the first residential settlements in the area, from which the toponym Badia Crepaldo derives.

This wine is interpreted with pure Pinot noir, a host grape variety of our territories which expresses itself by attracting a lot of attention and reverence to the palates of tasters, as the reigning Garipald managed to do in the past in the lands of Montepulciano.

Production

After the strictly manual harvest, alcoholic fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts partly in stainless steel vats and partly in Tonneau.

The following refinement takes place in French oak tonneau for approximately 12 months. Bottling follows with at least six months in the bottle.

Tasting notes

It has the contained character of the great reds, which opens over time revealing all its elegance and generosity. The colour is intense ruby red.

On the nose, you can perceive notes of riped red fruitscherryundergrowthhints of oriental spices and enchanted ‘animals’ hints, like treated leather. In the mouth, it offers an elegant structure with silky tannins, juiciness and persuasive balance.

Pairings

The pairings to try with our Pinot Noir are semi-mature cheeses, cured meats and cold cuts, truffle tagliatelle, deer, wild boar and duck meat sauce, mushroom risotto.

RECOMMENDED DISH: Pappardelle with Speck and Porcini mushrooms.
