“Sor Unno” Primo 2017

“Sor Unno” is a particularly meaningful label for our company. From the attention to detail to the originality of the blend, it perfectly conveys our corporate philosophy: well-prepared niche products, unique in their appearance and organoleptic characteristics. This item invites wine enthusiasts to discover not only a wine, but also the story of the region and its characters.

Production

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir in equal percentages. It presents a remarkable complexity both on the nose and in the mouth, but despite this it is fascinating to note that the production process from which it originates, from the vineyard to the bottle, is very simple: fermentation in stainless steel containers are regulated in temperature with artisan methods (frozen water bottles) and the daily pressing is performed in a strictly manual manner.

The ageing of about 12 months takes place in French oak barriques and tonneaux. Then the wine is transferred, without filtration processes, to the bottling vat where, after a stop to allow the perfect blending of the wines from the various barrels, it is gravity bottled without the aid of mechanical bottling machines.

Characteristics

The “Primo” Sor Unno develops in the glass with a bright ruby colour. The bouquet of notes that come to life on the nose highlights a range of fruity notes that include black cherries, blueberries and blackcurrants that merge into aromas like quinotto, vanilla and spices. It is full-bodied, with a round and enveloping mouthfeel, and a long lingering finish.

An elegant wine, in which Pinot Noir adds a very interesting level of complexity to the blend. The envelope-label, with a drip saver inside to serve the wine, makes the bottle a perfect gift for wine lovers.
